Syrian refugee crisis!!!

Syrian refugee crisis

Protests against the Assad regime started in the Southeren city of Deraa,on March 2011 after 15 children were arrested and allegedly tortured, for scrawling anti-government graffiti on a wall. Security forces open fire on demonstrators, killing and wounding dozens.

Syria's civil war is the worst humanitarian crisis of our time. Half the country's pre war population -more than 11million people -have been killed or forced to flee homes .The majority of Syrian refugees are living in Jordan and lebanon.About 10% of refugees have fled to Europe. Many others seeking shelter in Middle East, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt.

  • Families in Syria are struggling to survive, or to make new homes in neighboring countries.
  • Basic necessities like food and medical care are not available.
  • Children affected by Syrian conflict are at risk of becoming ill, malnourished, abused and exploited.
  • About 70% of the population is without access to adequate drinking water.
In my opinion all the countries should get together and stop this inhuman war. And help in  resettling  the refugees.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VIOLENCE AND CONFLICT

OUCH! HELP! BOOM! BASH!

violence  on the right...violence on the left....ahead I see dead bodies scattered everywhere . violence is more bloody and bad . it even harms peoples life ...violence leads to war too . Violence involves physical actions which kills innocent civilians too . usually for violence people use arms and ammunitions but at certain times hen aren't provided with the same you use other things tat can cause harm to others such as ,your hands legs or any such part of your body.

CAN YOU STOP !! I DONT CARE !!

Have you ever argued with your sibling ,friend or anyone ?? well at least I have not once not twice at least  a million times . this is more often verbal more that physical it maybe make you feel hurt mentally but not physically ...this is more on a disagreement a different opinion etc . in this you get angry and you feel like removing your anger on anything you see ...so this is the right time if you feel you have don something wrong you can apologize this very second...oh! how can I forget t tell you ,conflicts are always not negative ! for example Mahatma Gandhi's salt march it was so positive maybe that was a part of the freedom of India .

SO I HOPE YOU UNDERSTOOD THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN VIOLENCE AND CONFLICT ...

negative side of media

HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THE NEGATIVE SIDES OF MEDIA DURING WAR AND TERRORISM?

WELL IF ITS A NO DON'T WORRY BECAUSE I AM GOING TO UNCOVER IT TO YOU.
i'll tell you it annoying to listen to the media when they spread false news. I get sensationalised because of them or actually few of them. Just read ahead if you want to know more. I'll tell you about the negative side of those few.

  1. The media  sensationalise us so that we see their channel.
  2. The media spreads rumours sometimes.
  3. When the media produces the information it could lead to further violence as the terrorists or soldiers might get angry.
  4. They spread fear and get the public to panic as the public doesn't know what is happening.
So friends these are some of the negative sides of the media but not all media people do it there are only some who do it to earn extra money. Now I hope you can answer when someone asks you the question i asked in the start.

IMPACT OF THE SYRIAN CRISIS ON CHILDREN!

 Sighs! Sorrow! Enemy!

Fills the air with a huge troop of innocent children dying!

What a shameless government though I don’t know for sure now is the government only wrong? Lets find out!

Some of the impacts occurring on the children of Syria and else where are that:

-They loose family.
-Have to find his or hers own food.
-Loss of habitat, money, food, and etc.
-They also have threat to life and they see sights which are actually undigestable.

So now together we know how lucky we are to be in a part of the world without any war, distruction and enemy.

Getting back too is Assad completely wrong no not really because people have reacted the same way so its like tit for tat!

Some of the pictures in impact of war on children:

(Children working who have lost family.)

(Children suffering in loss of food and shelter.)
(Thank the god.)

Thank You!

SAVE THE SYRIANS!
HELP THE MILLIONS!

survivors and loss of lives of 26/11

Fire fire everywhere only fire. Burning in the heart of India. People shouting run run for your life, our lives are in danger. Open firing, bombing everywhere-breaking news. trrr. Scattered blood drops in the heart of India. In all places sound of open firing and bombing was there. Everyone was dependent on god.

In my opinion the survivors have had a tuff time trying to stay safe from the terrorist which is difficult to do, they might have got separated from their family or have loss of resources. It might be hard for them to live. Also they might have got wounded but they will not be perfectly fine. The people who have lost their lives also might be trying to be alive not die but bad luck for them.

The Positive Sides of the Media during War/Terrorism

Hello,hello! Mike check,123!
That is the role of media but, have you ever thought about the positive sides of media but, during war and terrorism? Oh my, there are so many reasons. So I will tell you some of it.I will uncover 3 points and that is:-

1- Awareness is spread across the city:- so, people get to know more stuff that is going around the city and they get to the current news that is across the city or something going around the city.

2-There is more security in the city:-so,this reason is tough to explain. But, there is more security in the city as people know the current news and if there is something very-bad going to happen during the war, something like a bomb, BOOM!! Then, the city can train more soldiers during the war and keep more safety and security.

3-The truth is uncovered:- so, in this reason, I have a point to explain this and the point is that sometimes media is blamed for wrong points. Then, if the media finds evidence that their point is true, then they can show that they are correct on T.V!!

Aftermath and Effect of 9/11 attacks

On September 12 there was an attack on the United States of America during the attack 4 planes were hijacked. The first two planes were diverted to the World Trade Center complex in New York City they were then crashed into the twin towers. The third plane was crashed in the pentagon. The fourth plane was diverted to washington but crashed into a field near Pennsylvania.

Effect

  • Hundred of thousands of tons of toxic debris were spread because of the collapse of the twin towers. The people at level zero have fatal or debilitating illnesses because of the spread of toxins. The EPA did not agree air quality levels had returned to normal till June 2002. About 18,000 people have been estimated to have devoloped illnesses as a result of the toxic dust. A study of rescue workers released in April 2010 found that all those studies had impaired lung functions, and that 30-40% were reporting little or no improvement in persistent symptoms.
  • The stock exchange was closed on September 11 and remained closed till September 17. On reopening Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 684 points, by the end of the week it fell 1,369.7 points. U.S stocks lost 1.4 trillion in value for the week.

EARLY LIFE OF OSAMA BIN LADEN

Osama bin Laden was raised as a devout Wahhabi Muslim. Bin Laden's father ensured that he was regularly attending school. Bin Laden attended schools with some Western curricula and culture. No evidence has been found that he ever received full-time education in a religious madrassa. He was likely educated for some of his primary school years in Syria and that may have been in connection to his mother's frequent visits to Latakia, Syria. By the time bin Laden was an 8th grader, "he was a solid if unspectacular student." His mother remembered that he was "not an A student. He would pass exams with average grades
In the mid-1960s, around age 10, bin Laden briefly attended Brummana High School, a Quaker institution in Brummana, Lebanon along with several of his half brothers. Five former administrators and students said he attended for less than a year before returning home they did not say or recall why he left, but his leaving was not due to poor behavior or grades.Renee Bazz, a former administrative staff member, said that bin Laden went to another school in Lebanon before he attended Brummana.
He seemed to have stayed in Latakia for a period. He moved back to Jeddah in the following September. From 1968 to 1976 he attended the élite Al-Thager Model School. Bin Laden was probably in the fifth or sixth grade when he began attending Al-Thager. In the 1960s, King Faisal had welcomed exiled teachers from Syria, Egypt and Jordan so that by the early seventies it was common to find members of the Muslim Brotherhoodteaching at Saudi schools and universities. During that time, bin Laden became a member of the Brotherhood and attended its political teachings during after-school Islamic study groups.
Bin Laden earned a degree in civil engineering in 1979 from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. Despite his major subject, at university his main interest was religion; he was involved in both in interpreting the Quran and charitable work.A close friend reports, "we read Sayyid Qutb. He was the one who most affected our generation. Sayyid Qutb himself, author of Ma'alim fi-l-Tariq, or Milestones, one of the most influential tracts on the importance of jihad against all that is un-Islamic in the world was deceased, but his brother and publicizer of his work, Muhammad Qutb, lectured regularly at the university. So did another charismatic Muslim Brotherhood member, Abdallah Azzam, an Islamic scholar from Palestine who was instrumental in building pan-Islamic enthusiasm for jihad against the Soviets in Afghanistan and in drawing Muslims (like Osama) from all over the Middle East to fight there.
Bin Laden was described by University friend Jamal Khalifa as extremely religious. Neither man watched films nor listened to popular music, because they believed such activities went against the teachings of the Qur'an. During his University career he witnessed many world-changing events, especially in 1979. First he watched the Iranian Revolution, in which Ayatollah Khomieini overthrew Iran’s Western supported government to install an Islamist state. Then he saw the seizure of the Grand Mosque in Mecca by radicals in Saudi Arabia and the Saudi government’s dependent response and reliance on Western power. It was not until the French special forces came in that the government was able to regain control of Mecca’s holiest site. Bin Laden was disgusted with his government’s lack of ability to protect the sacred city, and he began to see the royal family more and more as corrupt. Finally, he ended 1979 ready to fight off the invading Soviets in Afghanistan.
In regard to his Islamic learning, bin Laden was sometimes referred to as a "sheikh," considered by some to be "well versed in the classical scriptures and traditions of Islam and was said to have been mentored by scholars such as Musa al-Qarni. He had no formal training in Islamic jurisprudence, however, and was criticized by Islamic scholars as having no standing to issue religious opinion.

OSAMA BIN LADEN

Osama bin laden was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia , in 1957.When Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in 1979, bin laden joined the Afghan resistance. After the Soviet withdrawal, bin laden formed the Al-Qaeda network in 1993 which carried out global strikes against Western interests. It comprised of militant Muslims he had met while serving Afghanistan.Their goal was to take up the jihadist cause around the world.

On September 11,2001, Osama's Al Qaeda jihadists hijacked four commercial passenger aircraft in the United States , two of which collided into World Trade Center towers. Another aircraft crashed into the Pentagon ,Virginia. A fourth plane was retaken and crashed into the Pennsylvania . The attack nearly killed 3000 civilians. After the attack Osama went into hiding for more than 10 years, he was hunted along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. On May 2, 2011, President Barack Obama announced that Osama bin laden had been killed in terrorist compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan . In an eight month plan enacted by the president and led by CIA director and American special forces, Osama was shot several times. His body was taken as evidence of his death and DNA tests revealed that the body was his. In support of Muslim tradition the US entered his body by burial at sea with in 24 hours of death. The death of bin laden marks the most significant achievement to defeat Al-Qaeda.

Motives of the 9/11 terror attack

On Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists hijacked four airplanes. The terrorist group was Al-Qaeda.
They flew two of them into the World Trade Center, also known as the Twin Towers, in Manhattan. Both buildings collapsed. There is no Twin-Tower now. The other plane went to Pennington Tower. The terrorist group then crashed into Pennington Tower. The damage was repaired and the building is still standing. The other plane went into Pennsylvania after the passengers fought with the hijackers. Experts thought that the plane crashed the White House but it had just crashed a farm.
About 3,000 people were killed. This was Al-Qaeda's deadliest attack. The people who responded first to the attack, were injured very-badly.
There is no clear reason why the attack took place, but it can be that the terrorist groups founder, Osama bin Laden was in hiding for a lot of years, and America was finding him, so, to get rid of that it might be that the terrorist group wanted to kill Us citiens so thet no one would find their master. That was their motive of the attack.

Attacks by Osama Bin Laden's group which is al-quaeda

  • On December 29, 1992, the first attack by Al-Qaeda was carried out in Aden, Yemen known as the 1992 Yemen Hotel Bombings. That evening, a bomb went off at the Gold Mohur hotel, where U.S. troops had been staying while en route to Somalia, though the troops had already left when the bomb exploded. The bombers targeted a second hotel, the Aden Movenpick, where they believed American troops might also be staying. That bomb detonated prematurely in the hotel car park, around the same time as the other bomb explosion, killing two Australian tourists. Bin Laden later claimed that he and Mohamed Khan were responsible for the 1992 Yemen attack.
  • On February 26, 1993, a truck bomb was detonated below the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. The 1,336 pounds (606 kg) urea nitrate–hydrogen gas enhanced device was intended to send the North Tower (Tower 1) crashing into the South Tower (Tower 2), bringing both towers down and killing tens of thousands of people. It failed to do so but killed six people and injured more than a thousand.
  • In August 1998, Al-Qaeda operatives carried out the bombings of the U.S. embassies in NairobiKenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, killing more than 200 people and injuring more than 5,000 others.
  • Al-Qaeda planned to attack the USS The Sullivans on January 3, 2000, but the effort failed due to too much weight being put on the small boat meant to bomb the ship.
    • Despite the setback with the USS The Sullivans, al-Qaeda succeeded in bombing a U.S. Navy warship in October 2000 with the USS Cole bombing, killing 17 sailors. A day later, a grenade was thrown at the British embassy in Yemen, blowing up one of its electric generators.
    • On September 9, 2001, two Tunisian members of al-Qaeda assassinated Ahmed Shah Massoudthe leader of the Northern Alliance. One of the suicide attackers was killed by the explosion, while the other was captured and shot while trying to escape. It is believed that Osama Bin Laden ordered Massoud's assassination to help his Taliban protectors and ensure he would have their co-operation in Afghanistan.
    • The most destructive act ascribed to al-Qaeda was the series of attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001. Four commercial airliners were hijacked. Two of these were crashed into the Twin Towers which later collapsed, destroying the rest of the World Trade Center building complex. The third was crashed into the Pentagon and the fourth in a field during a struggle between passengers and hijackers to control the airplane. All together, 2,977 victims, including 2,504 civilians, 72 law enforcement officers, 343 firefighters, and 55 military personnel, perished in the attacks. An investigation conducted after the attacks concluded that members of al-Qaeda planned and orchestrated the attacksOsama bin Laden initially denied his organization's involvement, but later in 2004 admitted his organization was responsible.
    • On December 22, 2001, al-Qaeda operative Richard Reid attempted to detonate explosives packed into the shoes he was wearing, while on American Airlines Flight 63 from Paris to Miami. In 2002, Reid pleaded guilty in U.S. federal court to eight criminal counts of terrorism, based on his attempt to destroy a commercial aircraft in-flight. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole and is held in a super maximum security prison in the United States.
    • The April 11, 2002 Ghriba synagogue bombing occurred when a natural gas truck fitted with explosives drove past security barriers at the ancient Ghriba Synagogue on the Tunisian island of Djerba. The truck detonated at the front of the synagogue, killing 14 German tourists, three Tunisians, and two French nationals. More than 30 others were wounded. Al Qaeda later claimed responsibility for the attack.
    • The 2002 Limburg bombing occurred on 6 October 2002. The Limburg was carrying 397,000 barrels (63,100 m3) of crude oil from Iran to Malaysia, and was in the Gulf of Aden off Yemen to pick up another load of oil. It was registered under a French-flag and had been chartered by the Malaysian petrol firm Petronas. While it was some distance offshore, an explosives-laden dinghy rammed the starboard side of the tanker and detonated. The vessel caught on fire and approximately 90,000 barrels (14,000 m3) of oil leaked into the Gulf of Aden. Although Yemeni officials initially claimed that the explosion was caused by an accident, later investigations found traces of TNT on the damaged ship. One crew member, a 38-year-old Bulgarian named Atanas Atanasov, was killed, and 12 other crew members were injured.
    • On October 8, 2002 two Kuwaiti citizens with ties to jihadist in Afghanistan launched the Faylaka Island attack against United States Marines. The Marines were on a training exercise on Failaka Island, an island off the coast of Kuwait. One Marine was killed, and another was seriously injured. The two Kuwaitis, Anas Al Kandari and Jassem al-Hajiri were also killed. They were reported to have served as volunteers with the Taliban
